Forget about finding a formula. After five Top 10 albums, McFly knew perfectly well the key to continued chart success is to stay true to your roots, but not sticking to one sound. ‘Above The Noise’  released on November 15th 2010, took McFly on to dancefloors, nodded to 1999-era Prince, raised a fist to bombastic ‘80s pop and occasionally slid in to slinky R&B, yet captured the same sense of four, best friends having fun as all of their albums to date.
