Live Lounge 2012
BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2012, the hugely anticipated annual round up of the cream of the past year’s Live Lounge sessions featuring a who’s who of music, has gone straight in at number one. This is the sixth time a BBC Radio One Live Lounge album has hit the top spot, and this is the highest first week sales of the compilation series in four years.
This year’s successful re-brand has reinvigorated the Live Lounge album and seen digital sales rocket, with the highest percentage of digital sales for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge 2012 since the series began.
CAMPAIGN HIGHLIGHTS – Competition with Gigwise asking users to send in their youtube clips of them performing tracks from the album for their chance to win a recording session at the prestigious Metropolis studios in London. The finalists were then put to a public vote with Gigwise fans picking the winner.
