Blind Singer Lissa Hermans is going big with her debut single, a rendition of the ‘God Save The Queen’ which will be the first time the national anthem has been available as a digital single. And it’s all for a good cause with proceeds going to all ability theatre group ChickenShed which counts Dame Judi Dench, Emma Bunton, Bob Hoskins and Cliff Richard amongst its supporters as well as having had the late Princess Diana as its Royal Patron.
Lissa who is a big fan of the Royal Family, has performed the anthem before the Queen saying “It was completely nerve-wracking but after the performance, I met Her Majesty who told me that she thoroughly enjoyed my performance.” Speaking of her chart rivals the Sex Pistols Lissa says simply “I’ve never heard fo the Sex Pistols. I’d prefer people to buy mine because it is for charity. Maybe the Sex Pistols could buy it as well – it might be good for them.” Here is a taster of Lissa’s beautiful version ‘God Save The Queen’ in her official video.
